Oh no! NOT AGAIN!!....VEGAS SHOOTOUT

The year is barely halved, but quite a number of senseless shootouts have been recorded already. Five lives evaporated before noon this morning, when a man and a woman walked into CiCi’s Pizza at North Nellis Boulevard in Clark County and shot two police officers who were eating lunch point-blank. The two officers Alyn Beck, 42, and Igor Soldo, 32 died on the spot.

The two suspects then fled to the walmart across the street after grabbing the weapons and ammunition of the dead officers. One person was fatally shot at the front door before shooting each other in an apparent suicide pact. A crime, witnessed by thousands was definitely planned to end suicidal. One of the suspects was alleged to have yelled “REVOLUTION”.

What Revolution????

MY TAKE: We always know the story, we later investigate the course and establish motive, we discuss the process but never present a prudent and viable solution. Imagine the suspects didn’t have guns but were able to get hold of the deadliest swords to commit these atrocities. 

• How many lives would have been lost or saved? 
• Is the gun a major contributing factor to the high number of lives lost during these acts? 
• How quickly will this ordeal be brought to an end without the gun? 
• Have we, as a nation empowered citizens enough to take effective actions by any means possible to curb acts like this?

Also, imagine there was “a good guy with a gun”, will he or she had stop the bad guys? BUT two of the first victims were armed police officers. 

• So is that argument flawed?

It can happen anywhere and it has occurred everywhere. Schools (elementary to colleges), movie theatres, shopping malls, restaurants and parks. It’s no respecter of person; elementary school kids, teenagers, college students, young couple, police officers, senior citizens etc. Gun violence has to stop.

Speedy but thrift and frugal keys are needed………
